Classification of products and services – Name of the categories

 

Parts of writing or equipment are, in general, classified with the particular article or equipment, except wherever such elements represent articles enclosed in alternative classes.

 

Class 1. Chemical utilized in trade, science, photography, agriculture, gardening and forestry; unprocessed artificial resins, unprocessed plastics; manures; hearth extinction compositions; tempering and bonding preparations; chemical substances for protective foodstuffs; tanning substances; adhesive utilized in trade

 

Class 2. Paints, varnishes, lacquers; preservatives against rust and against deterioration of wood; colourants; mordents; raw natural resins; metals in foil and powder type for painters; decorators; printers and artists

 

Class 3. Bleaching preparations and alternative substances for laundry use; cleaning; polishing; scouring and abrasive preparations; soaps; perfumery, essential oils, cosmetics, hair lotions, dentifrices

 

Class 4. Industrial oils and greases; lubricants; dirt gripping, wetting and binding compositions; fuels(including motor spirit) and illuminants; candles, wicks

 

Class 5. Pharmaceutical, veterinary and sanitary  preparations; fare substances tailored for medical use, food for babies; plasters, materials for dressings; materials for stopping teeth, dental wax; disinfectants; preparation for destroying vermin; fungicides, herbicides

 

Class 6. Common metals and their alloys; metal building materials;

Class 17. Rubber, gutta-percha, gum, asbestos, transparent substance and merchandise made of these materials and not enclosed in alternative classes; plastics in extruded type to be used in manufacture; packing, stopping and insulating materials; versatile pipes, not of metal

 

Class 18. animal skin and imitations of animal skin, and merchandise made from these materials and not enclosed in alternative classes; animal skins, hides, trunks and travelling bags; umbrellas, parasols and walking sticks; whips, harness and saddlery
