The validity of AEO certificates shall be 3 years for AEO-T1 & AEO-T2 and 5 years for AEO-T3 & AEO-LO.

AEO stands for Authorized economic operator is a program under the approval of the World Customs Organization (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standards to secure and facilitate Global Trade.

• The programs object is to improve international supply chain security and facilitate the movement of legitimate goods. AEO is a willful compliance program.
• It enables Indian Customs to improve and streamline cargo security through close cooperation with the principal stakeholders of the international supply chain viz. importers, exporters, logistics providers, custodians or terminal operators, customs brokers and warehouse operators.
• it is imperative to develop a comprehensive program on AEO providing additional facilities to the legitimate trade who have demonstrated a strong internal control system and willingness to comply with the laws administered by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.

AEO Certificates expired/expiring between 01.04.21 and 3105.21 up to 30.06.21, except for the cases where the entity has been found ineligible for continuation under the AEO Programme.

Validity of AEO Certificate

The validity of the AEO certificate shall be three years for AEO-T1 and AEO-T2, and five years for AEO-T3 and AEO-LO.
