Apply for Learner's License
The first step to driving a motor vehicle is to get a ‘Learner’s Licence’. Beginners must hold a valid Learner's License (LLR) in India to exercise driving motor vehicles on roads provided they are supervised by a permanent driving license holder.
Eligibility Criteria
For applying for a license one must be 18 (eighteen) years aged and for driving a transport vehicle one should be 21 (twenty-one) years of age. but a person attaining the age of sixteen (sixteen) years will drive a motorcycle with engine capacity not exceeding 50CC in a public place.
Process to apply
For getting a Learner’s Licence, the candidate has to apply to the licensing authority or District Transport Officer, in whose jurisdiction, the soul resides.

Documents required
The following Documents should be connected to the form prescribed in Schedule I and II
- Ration Card
- Electoral Roll/li>
- Life Insurance Policy
- Pay Slice issued by any State or Central Govt. body
- Self swearing testimony by somebody before an executive magistrate or a first-class mail Judicial magistrate or a notary public as evidence of address
- Age Proof Documents: ((i) birth certificate / (ii) school Certificate / (iii) Certificate granted by a registered medical practitioner not below the rank of a Civil doc, on the age of the applicant. / / (iv) Pay Slip issued by any kingdom or Central Govt. body)
